Ruka Holiday Resort offers you many possibilities for a great holiday both in summer and in winter!
From Rukan Salonki Chalets it is easy to go hiking in the famous Kuusamo routes such as the Pieni Karhunkierros Trail, or fishing in the rapids, or paddling down the magnificient River Oulankajoki. You can also try rapid shooting in rubber rafts. The Rukan Salonki area is surrounded by an artificial lake, where the guests can fish or swim safely, or take out a rowing boat. For summer fun there is also a beach volleyball court.
There is plenty to do in winter in Kuusamo! Cross-country ski tracks and snowmobile routes are situated right on the Salonki area, and the slopes of Ruka Holiday Resort are only 4 km/5 min. away.
For fishermen we present a venue for a certain catch at our own pond located a short distance from the Salonki area. The pond is stocked with rainbow trout that can be caught with a jig throughout the year, in winter through a hole in the ice, in summer from a jigging raft!
