Welcome to enjoy the gentle warmth of our hi-tech smoke sauna. Despite its name, the sauna is a very pleasant experience.
In summer you can slip for a swim in Lake Salonkijärvi, and in winter you can try dipping in the icy water. In addition to this, our new HotSpring outdoor pool at the lakeside is ready to be used throughout the year!

Pyhäpiilo
Pyhäpiilo, with beautiful wilderness landscapes, is a hidden place by a sacred fell on the shore of Lake Pyhäjärvi.
Experience the traditional Finnish smoke sauna or enjoy spa treatments unlike anywhere else in the world! These treatments are a social event!
Pyhäpiilo Ice Sauna
The ice sauna is built by the lake. There is room for up to 10 people at the time.
There is a hole in the ice for winter swimming next to the ice sauna.
Sauna treatments
In the sauna we make scrubs and masks from Lappish wild herbs and traditional Finnish remedies like tar and peat. Between the heats you can cool off by taking a dip in the refreshing icy lake water or rolling in the snow!
Meals and drinks at the sauna
Have a delicious after-sauna reindeer or salmon meal in the barbecue hut, by the open fire, in the traditional way.
Drinks are served to the saunas.
